The distinction matters. Most of the Bodrum fleet at this length is steel or composite dressed to look like timber. She is the real thing — a laminated wooden hull, varnished rails, two masts that carry working canvas — with a 2024 interior, current air conditioning and a galley that has become the reason a good number of guests rebook.
At 39.6 metres overall on a 7.8-metre beam she is a full-displacement hull, which is why she sits so still at anchor. The 2024 refit replaced the guest interior outright, renewed the systems and reworked the aft deck. Machinery gives 11 knots cruising and 14 knots flat out, enough to move between the Gulf of Gökova and the Datça peninsula inside a morning.

Outside, the aft deck is the heart of the boat. A long table under a fixed awning seats the full complement, and the crew lay it properly — linen, glassware, candles after dark. Forward, the sunpads run almost to the bow, and there is a second, quieter seating group right in the eyes of the ship.

Sources differ on two points and both are worth stating plainly: TYBA’s registry records her builder as IBC Yatçılık of Bodrum while at least one international listing credits Fethiye Shipyard, and her refit is published variously as 2023 and 2024.
