The Art of Mediterranean Yachting

About Aquinox Yachting – Luxury Yacht Charter and Brokerage in Turkey

Aquinox Yachting is a luxury yacht charter and brokerage company based in Bodrum, Turkey. We arrange crewed yacht charters, yacht sales and yacht agency support across the Turkish Riviera, the Greek islands and the wider Eastern Mediterranean.

Bodrum is our home port and the East Med is our focus. But our clients travel, and so do we. Our team has spent years in the Caribbean and Asian yachting markets. Through a trusted network of partners, we arrange charters and yacht purchases worldwide.

We grew up around boats. The sea is not a business we picked. It is the family we come from.

The founder

Meet the founder: Ege Erdoğan

Ege Erdoğan is a yacht broker and a lifelong sailor from a yacht-owning family. He has experience in the yachting industry in Turkey, USA, and Indonesia.

A sailing family from Bodrum

Ege comes from a family of sailors. He is the third generation to make a life on the water. His mother's family sailed from Crete and settled in Bodrum, long before Bodrum became one of the best-known yacht harbors in the Mediterranean.

More than 20 years on the sea

Ege spent all his childhood summers on the family yacht, and he still does it. For more than 20 years, he has sailed the Turkish Riviera and the Greek islands multiple times, with at most detail. He learned the Aegean the way locals do. Which bays stay calm when the meltemi blows. Where the water is clearest in the morning. Which small restaurants you can only reach by boat, and what you should eat depending on the season.

This gives him something most brokers don't have: the perspective of an owner. He knows which marinas and yards do reliable technical work. He knows where to eat, where to anchor, and which historic sites are worth the trip ashore. When he recommends a route or a yacht, it comes from his own time and experience at sea, not from a brochure.

Years in Miami

Ege graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Economics. He lived in Miami for five years and experienced the local yachting industry. Miami is one of the biggest yachting cities in the world and home to one of its largest boat shows.

Those years gave him a close view of the American and Caribbean yachting scene, how US brokers work, and what American clients expect. Today this helps him look after US guests coming to the Mediterranean, and buyers looking at US and European yachts.

Before the US, Ege graduated from St. Joseph French High School in Istanbul, one of Turkey's oldest private schools. He speaks Turkish, English and French fluently, so he can talk to guests, captains, owners, and shipyards directly.

From business to yachting

Ege spent many years in business, in roles that included a London-based, FCA-regulated finance company. That work taught him contracts, compliance and how to protect a client's money and trust.

He then turned his lifelong passion into his full-time work. He joined leading yacht agency and brokerage firms in the Eastern Mediterranean and in Indonesia. He coordinated charters, captains, suppliers, berths and itineraries for well-known superyachts, including Arbema, IDynasty, Sunrays, Orient Star, Enigma, Genesis, Tanusha and Beol.

Along the way, he has looked after many international VIP guests, including global sports stars and public figures. Discretion comes first, so we never name our clients unless allowed.

Trained and certified

Ege holds the Diploma in Yacht Brokerage from the Maritime Training Academy (MTA), an internationally recognized qualification for yacht brokers. It covers internationally accepted sale and purchase contracts, surveys, flag and registration, and charter law.

This matters. Too many brokers close a deal, take their commission, and disappear. Aquinox works the other way. The team is trained, works under a TÜRSAB license, and stays with the clients long after the contract is signed.

At home under the water too

Ege is a PADI-certified Rescue Diver. He knows the dive sites along the Turkish coast first-hand. On a charter, that means better snorkeling and dive stops and a founder who takes safety in the water seriously.

“I grew up on boats in Bodrum. I want every guest to see this coast the way my family does.”

— Ege Erdoğan, Founder
