About This Yacht

A Falcon 86 charter Ibiza week gives you an Italian-built flybridge motor yacht of 86 feet, about 26 metres, with 4 cabins, 10 guest berths and a full crew. The yacht is based at Palma and takes guests on at Ibiza Port, Formentera or anywhere on Mallorca, so the week can start on one island and finish on another.

Falcon 86 charter Ibiza: the yacht

Falcon Yachts built at Viareggio, and the 86 is the yard working in its own idiom: a long raked sheer, a varnished toe rail running the full length of the hull, teak decks and a flybridge that extends almost to the transom. Air conditioning, satellite internet and a full entertainment system are fitted throughout.

On the Falcon 86 charter Ibiza the flybridge is the working social space, with the upper helm forward, a shaded dining table amidships and sunpads aft. Below it the aft deck carries the main alfresco table, open to the bathing platform and the tender. The foredeck takes a second set of sunpads, which is where most guests end up in the hour before dinner.

Accommodation on board

The Falcon 86 charter Ibiza layout gives 4 cabins: 1 double and 3 twins, sleeping 10. Bed configuration is 1 king, 6 singles and 2 pullman berths, and each cabin has its own bathroom. That mix is unusual and useful: a group of 10 adults travelling without couples, or 2 families with children, both fit without anyone sleeping in a saloon.

The Falcon 86 charter Ibiza saloon runs forward from the aft doors with sofas to both sides, a dining table and a galley beyond. The joinery is warm cherry and the glass runs low along both sides, so the water stays visible from a seated position. It is a traditional interior rather than a minimal one, and it wears the afternoon sun better than white and glass.

Where a Falcon 86 charter Ibiza week goes

Most Falcon 86 charter Ibiza weeks open with the run from Palma or Ibiza Port down to Formentera. The sandbanks off S’Espalmador, Cala Saona and Illetes fill the first day. The west coast of Ibiza follows with Cala d’Hort under Es Vedra and Cala Bassa for lunch ashore, then north to Benirras and Portinatx where the day traffic falls away.

A longer Falcon 86 charter Ibiza itinerary crosses to Mallorca for Andratx, Puerto Portals and the Tramuntana anchorages, or runs south to Cabrera National Park. Cabrera takes a mooring permit which the captain files before the charter starts, and the water inside the park is the clearest in the Balearics.

Crew, dining and water toys

A Falcon 86 charter Ibiza booking is fully crewed, with the captain setting each day against the forecast rather than a fixed plan. Meals come from Balearic produce: island tomatoes and almonds, fish landed at Santa Eulalia, sobrasada, ensaimada for breakfast. Boat-in only beach restaurants along the Formentera shore are booked where the weather allows, and the tender covers the run ashore.

Toys on a Falcon 86 charter Ibiza booking are a 5.3 metre AB tender with a 70 hp Yamaha outboard, water skis, a wakeboard, a stand-up paddleboard, a kayak, a towable donut and snorkelling equipment. The tender is the largest in this price band and it seats the whole party, which removes the usual 2-trip shuttle to the beach.

Rates and charter terms

Rates for a Falcon 86 charter Ibiza week run from 35,550 EUR in low season to 38,500 EUR in high season on MYBA terms. The fee covers the yacht, insurance, crew wages and food, and the yacht’s laundry. Fuel, berthing, provisioning, drinks, communications and local taxes are additional, normally taken as an advance provisioning allowance of 25 to 30 percent of the fee. VAT and gratuities sit outside it.
