The Ferretti 97 charter Bodrum is a 30-metre flybridge motor yacht, built by Ferretti in 2006 and refitted in 2017. She sleeps ten guests across five cabins, with a crew of five. The lines are classic Ferretti — a long flybridge, a raked bow, a warm timber interior. She is a fast, comfortable boat for the Aegean.
She measures 29.7 metres on deck with a beam of 7.08 metres and a shallow 1.8-metre draught. Twin engines, each rated at 2,450 horsepower, give her real pace when the day calls for it. Fuel capacity is 12,400 litres, with 3,000 litres of fresh water aboard. The shallow draught matters here: it opens up the tighter anchorages and lets her lie close in to a beach. She is a planing yacht, quick between bays and settled at rest.
The flybridge is the vessel’s open-air room. It carries an upper helm, a shaded dining table, sun pads and a wet bar, all under a hardtop with a folding sunroof. Below, the aft deck steps down to a bathing platform at the waterline — the place for morning coffee and the swim before it. Teak runs throughout. The cockpit and side decks connect the flybridge to the sea without fuss.
Inside, the main salon is warm cherry and cream: a long sofa, a formal dining table, and wide windows on both sides. Five cabins sleep ten. The master runs full-beam amidships, with a private lounge and a settee; a VIP and further cabins take the rest of the guests. Every cabin has its own en suite, and air conditioning runs throughout. The joinery is deep timber, in the traditional Ferretti manner.
The galley is fully equipped, with an ice maker, an espresso machine and full refrigeration. Navigation runs from radar, GPS chartplotters and autopilot. For the water there is a jet ski, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, water skis, a wakeboard and snorkelling gear, with a fishing set aboard for the quiet mornings. The bathing platform makes launching any of it simple.
A crew of five runs the vessel, with a chef and a hostess aboard. Service is discreet and complete. The chef provisions to a menu agreed before boarding, drawing on the coast’s markets and the day’s catch. Meals are taken where the guests choose — on the aft deck at anchor, on the flybridge at dusk, or ashore at a jetty the tender reaches.
Bodrum Milta Marina is the home berth. Bodrum sits on Turkey’s south-western peninsula, a working yacht town beneath its Crusader castle, with fuel, provisioning and crew all close to the quay. Milas–Bodrum airport is forty minutes away. From the marina the Gulf of Gökova opens south: Orak Island for clear water, Cleopatra’s beach at Sedir, and a long line of quiet coves below the pine hills. The yacht’s shallow draught earns its keep here, taking her into anchorages larger boats must skip. Longer charters reach the Datça peninsula and the bays under ancient Knidos.
