Lagoon 450 catamaran charter Kos opens the Dodecanese aboard one of the most-loved cruising catamarans afloat, run bareboat from Marina Kos. Sail her yourself or add a skipper for the week. Fourteen metres of flybridge catamaran, six cabins deep, built for shallow, sunlit island time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a 2020 Lagoon 450 F \u2014 the flybridge version, with the helm, sunbeds and a lounge raised above the coachroof. It is the layout that made the 450 a charter favourite: an enormous full-beam cockpit and saloon on one level below, and a private sun-deck helm station up top. Easy to sail short-handed, roomy enough for two families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flybridge that made the 450 famous<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From the fly you steer with the whole horizon in view, clear of the cockpit below. It doubles as the yacht’s best sun-deck at anchor. Down at cockpit level, a tilting glass door opens the saloon to the aft deck, and the galley runs alongside on the same level \u2014 light, cool and social from bow to stern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She measures 14.02 m overall on a 7.92 m beam and draws just 1.22 m. That shoal draught is the point in these waters: it opens the shallow, sand-bottomed bays that keep deeper monohulls offshore. Twin 40 hp diesels handle harbours and calms; a full-batten mainsail and furling genoa do the rest. A watermaker, generator and electric winches keep her easy to run and independent at anchor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kos sits mid-Dodecanese, a natural base with its own airport and a short hop to the Turkish coast. From the marina the classic circuit opens up: the volcanic caldera of Nisyros, the monastery bays of Astypalaia, the long beaches of Kos itself, and the sheltered coves of Kalymnos and Leros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plan the week around wind and appetite. Sail in the morning, anchor over clear sand for lunch, and take the tender ashore for dinner at a harbour taverna. Aquinox can arrange boat-in dining at kitchens that sit at the water’s edge and hold the table for your arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabins and accommodation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The six-cabin layout sleeps up to ten guests in four double cabins plus two further cabins, with five heads and separate showers. Air conditioning runs throughout, powered by the onboard generator. The saloon is glazed on every side, bright and cool, with a full galley aft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Season, and what the rate covers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Kos runs a season from late April to the end of October. The meltemi is at its strongest in July and August and drops away through September, which is the month most repeat clients ask for. The weekly rate covers the yacht, the tender and outboard, bedding and towels, and the berth at Marina Kos on changeover day. Fuel, harbour fees on the islands, provisioning and a skipper are charged separately. Kalymnos, Leros and Nisyros are all inside a short day sail, and the Turkish coast at Bodrum is close enough to add if the paperwork is arranged in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
