A 25m gulet charter Turkey week is the cheapest serious way to put twelve people on a private yacht in the Aegean. This one is a 25 metre wooden ketch, six cabins, four crew, and a rate that opens at EUR 11,815 for the week.<\/p>\n

Twenty-five metres of Bodrum-built timber<\/h2>\n

The hull is 25 metres with a 6.8 metre beam and a 3.2 metre draft, built on the traditional Bodrum pattern with two masts and a wide, flat aft deck. A single 400 horsepower Volvo drives her at ten knots, twelve flat out, on about 35 litres an hour. Two 11 kVA Kohler generators run the domestic side.<\/p>\n

The interior is varnished mahogany throughout, which is what people come to a gulet for. The saloon holds a dining table, a seating area and the bar, with hull windows down both sides.<\/p>\n

From Bodrum the standard week runs the Gulf of Gokova: Cokertme, Sedir Island, English Harbour, Longoz. Pine down to the waterline, no roads, and bays where you are the only boat by late afternoon.<\/p>\n

The aft deck is the boat. A long dining table under a fixed awning, cushioned seating around it, and the helm at the forward end. Forward of the mainmast the whole foredeck is laid out as sunbeds.<\/p>\n

Water toys run to a tender with a 70 horsepower outboard, a service boat, water skis, a wakeboard, a paddleboard, two canoes, a ringo, snorkelling gear and fishing tackle. Inside there is a television, a stereo, a PlayStation and board games for the days when the meltemi blows.<\/p>\n

Cabins<\/h2>\n

Six cabins take twelve: four doubles and two twins, each with its own shower and heads. Air conditioning runs on a particular schedule rather than around the clock, which is normal on a gulet of this generation and this price.<\/p>\n

Four crew live forward on a 25m gulet charter Turkey. Captain, cook, deckhand and a steward is the usual arrangement, and on a boat this size the cook is the one who makes the week. Breakfast and dinner are cooked aboard on most days, lunch at anchor.<\/p>\n
