Built in Bozburun in 2004 and refitted in 2012, she is the boat for the group that is genuinely too big for everything else.
Sixteen berths at this length is unusual and it is the whole point of her. Most 28-metre gulets take ten or twelve. She takes a wedding party, three families travelling together, or a company of colleagues, without anyone sleeping in a saloon or paying for a second boat.
She was built the traditional way in Bozburun, the village on the Hisarönü peninsula that has been turning out wooden hulls for as long as anyone has been chartering them. Timber hull, timber superstructure, and the deep varnished cherry interior that a gulet charter Marmaris client expects from a boat of this generation.
Her draft is only 1.7 metres — shallow even for a gulet — which opens the small bays of the Gulf of Hisarönü that deeper boats have to lie off. A Scania main gives her an eight-knot cruise, and the generators run 26 kVA plus a 10 kVA back-up, which matters when sixteen people are running air conditioning at three in the morning in August.
Eight en-suite cabins sleep sixteen: six doubles and two twins, each with its own shower and toilet. Every cabin is panelled in polished cherry with a window, a television, reading lights and independently controlled air conditioning. There is no cabin that is obviously the short straw.

The saloon runs the width of the boat with windows down both sides, a long dining table and banquette seating. It is where the group ends up at breakfast on a cool May morning and when the meltemi is blowing hard enough to make the aft deck uncomfortable.
Outside, the aft deck carries the principal table — long enough to seat all sixteen at once, which not every boat of this size manages — under a fixed awning, with a broad cushioned sunbathing platform immediately forward of it.
The foredeck is given over entirely to sun mattresses, running from the mainmast to the bow. Between the two decks a party of sixteen has enough space that people naturally spread out rather than competing for it.
Marmaris is her home port, with Dalaman airport ninety minutes away. The Gulf of Hisarönü runs west — Selimiye, Bozburun, Datça, Palamutbükü — and the Datça peninsula ends at Knidos, where the ruins of the ancient city stand above the anchorage. Her shallow draft is an advantage in all of them.
East lies Ekincik, the Dalyan delta and the Gulf of Fethiye. With Greek transit paperwork arranged in advance, Rhodes and Symi are a morning’s run and the crew handle clearance in both directions. Aquinox Yachting will build the route around the group rather than a standard loop.
Feeding sixteen well for a week is a different job from feeding eight, and her galley is set up for it. The chef works to an agreed menu rather than a fixed rotation, provisioning from the Marmaris market and the villages the boat passes — mezze, grilled fish, slow-cooked lamb, seasonal vegetables.
Dinner alternates between the boat and the shore.
