Bu Yat Hakkında

A deluxe gulet charter Bodrum booking aboard this 30-metre ketch, listed by Aquinox Yachting as ED3011, takes ten guests in five en-suite cabins with a crew of five. Built by Bodrum Shipyard in 2011 and finished throughout in mahogany, she is the size most groups actually want — big enough for real deck space, small enough to lie in the bays the larger boats have to pass.

The specification that separates her from the rest of her class is invisible in photographs: she carries zero-speed stabilisers. At 30 metres that is genuinely rare, and it changes the experience at anchor more than any other single piece of equipment on a Turkish gulet.

A 2011 Ketch with Zero-Speed Stabilisers

Most gulets roll at anchor. In a bay with any swell running, the boat works all night and the guests sleep badly. Zero-speed stabilisers hold her steady with no way on, which means the anchorage list stops being dictated by which bays are flat. A deluxe gulet charter Bodrum week on her can use the exposed anchorages the fleet avoids.

She measures 29.86 metres registered — marketed as 30 — on a 7.3-metre beam, with twin Iveco diesels of 450 horsepower each. Navigation runs to radar, GPS, a chart plotter and full communications. The hull is traditional Bodrum construction; the systems are not.

Ten Guests in Five Cabins

Five en-suite cabins sleep ten: one master, two doubles and two twins. Every cabin is panelled in figured mahogany with white deckhead beams, brass fittings, opening ports and its own bathroom with a separate shower. Air conditioning runs cabin by cabin, around the clock.

Ten guests across five cabins is a comfortable ratio at this length — it means nobody is in a cabin that was clearly an afterthought. The twins take two full single berths rather than bunks, which makes her workable for a group of friends as easily as for a family.

Bathrooms are finished in mahogany with stone counters, vessel basins and glass shower enclosures. Crew of five berth forward with separate access, so the group has the whole of the guest accommodation to itself.

Saloon and Deck Spaces

The saloon is panelled floor to deckhead in mahogany with a coffered white deckhead, a banquette dining table and windows down both sides. It is the room that gets used when the meltemi is up and at breakfast on a cool morning in May or October.

Outside, the aft deck carries the principal dining table under a fixed awning, with a deep cushioned seating group wrapped around the transom. It is the heart of the boat and the crew lay it properly — linen, glassware, the table run the full width of the deck.

The foredeck is given over to sunpads forward of the mainmast, with a second, quieter seating area right in the bow. Between the two a group of ten never has to share a sun bed or negotiate over a table.

Aegean Cooking and the Table on Deck

The galley works to an agreed menu rather than a fixed rotation. Breakfast is laid on the aft deck, lunch is served at anchor after the morning swim, and the chef provisions from the Bodrum market and the villages the boat passes — mezze, grilled fish, seasonal vegetables, slow-cooked lamb.

Dinner alternates between the boat and the shore. A deluxe gulet charter Bodrum week is the only practical way to reach the boat-in-only kitchens of the Gulf of Gökova — the fish tavernas at Çökertme, the mooring restaurants at Değirmen Bükü and Karacasöğüt. The crew book them; Aquinox Yachting can plan the week around them.

Water Toys and Swimming

The toy inventory is modest by the standards of the newer fleet — sun mats, a kneeboard, a sea ladder, snorkelling gear and fishing tackle, with a service tender for the run ashore. She is a boat for swimming and sailing rather than for engines, and the crew keep the swim platform rigged all day.

diving can be arranged at the anchorage. On this coast the stabilisers are worth more than an extra jet ski, which is a trade most guests make happily by the second night.

Bodrum'dan Gemi Seyir Alanları

Bodrum is her home port. The Gulf of Gökova runs east — Çökertme, English Harbour, Löngöz, Seven Islands, Karacasöğüt — with an anchorage every few miles. West lies the Datça peninsula, ending at Knidos where the ruins of the ancient city stand above the harbour.

Kos is forty minutes across the strait, with Kalymnos, Leros and Patmos beyond it. With Greek transit paperwork arranged in advance the crew handle clearance in both directions. She also sails properly when the wind allows, which on this coast is most afternoons from June onward.

At this level she is among the better value in the Bodrum fleet for a group of ten, and she books accordingly. July and August commit early; May, June, September and October can usually take shorter periods.

Crew and Service

Five crew look after ten guests — captain, chef, engineer and two deckhands. Her master, Captain Cevat Toraman, has worked the Gökova and Datça coasts for years and picks his anchorages accordingly. The service is quiet and unhurried, which is the standard Aquinox Yachting applies before a vessel joins the fleet.
